Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of honors, like the Golden Globe Award as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in film and TV. The actress has won several awards, among them 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was born and grew up in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger older sister St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five in order to be closer to their mother, who was separated from their dad. Bassett was in high school when she was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor been born. When she graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she continued to pursue a Master's Degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
